Other Misadventures. 1/8/09

Mood: Exhausted

Weather: Cloudless

So Sunday I spent the night with my friend Shaggy Not much to be said about that night other than it's suffice to say that a merry time was had by all. However the real adventure was the following day when we decided to go to a creek that required driving through a pasture. Before we set out our friend Anger Issues ( henceforth called A.I.) called and we invited him over along with his pick-up truck. We rode to the pasture and when Shaggy left to open the gate he turned his 4 wheeler off. After the gate was opened he tried to crank the ATV again and again and again to no avail. Thats when A.I. so kindly offered us a ride. But this is a pick-up truck. With one passenger seat. Do the math. I was on the back of the ATV and took longer getting off so I was stuck in the bed. I feared for my life as the cows stampeded and A.I. rushed through a very narrow opening in the hole and bump infested pasture....

Fastforward to a more recent memory... 2/12/09... My internet at home has been shut off, and I am unable to update but very briefly between classes at my college. So until further notice this will simply be poetry and my band of the week. Sorry if this disappoints my all of two readers I believe.

So B.O.T.W. will have to wait and here is my first poetic entry... I wrote this as part of an El Dia de Enamorado project for my Spanish Class and for my new, amazing, beautiful, cute, gorgeous, smart, witty, sweet, girlfriend. (Yes, the beautiful girl from my previous blogs) The poem is very culturally expansive using an ancient Japanese style of poetry, haiku, written in Spanish for a European holiday (Yes I know Spain is in Europe).

Cuando te quiero

Tu' y solamente tu'

Te necessito

Para ti,
Mi La Luz de Estrella.
